Gowans Stadium

Gowans Stadium, host to the Salt City Bowl, is among the crown jewels of football facilities in the Midwest. Renovated in 2005, the facelift included a new FieldTurf playing surface, a new drainage system, a new track, press box and many other features. Enhancements continued in 2015 with replacement of the FieldTurf surface that had been installed in 2005.
Gowans Stadium also boasts a DragonVision video board which enhances the game day experience for fans with instant replays, highlight videos and other features.
In addition to hosting the Salt City Bowl, Gowans Stadium serves as the regular season home of the Hutchinson Community College Blue Dragons and the Hutchinson Salthawks, 7-time state champions, as well as a State High School Football Championship. .
